THE REASON I QUIT MOUNTAIN HIKING.

I was a lover of the soft life. Anything that trended i was in. There was a time hiking was the in thing.

Posts of people hiking were all over social media making it look so cool to do, not just that but it made people appear like they have got this life thing figures out and i just wanted to be a part of them.

I went hiking every second weekend. I had content for every other weekend. I used to go hiking with a group of ladies from my workplace. Then there was a weekend were everyone was just too busy but i guess they had just lost interest so i decided to go on my own.

I knew that i would get someone or people to hike with. It was a bit cold and drizzly sp it was understandable why people would cancel. When i got to the hiking trail it was so empty. Even the parking lot had just one old looking car.

I decided to go on anyway. When i got there i paid and proceeded so there was no one in sight so i decided to take videos as a walked. While walking i came accross some lady sitting on one of the rocks so i was like good shot, some company at last.

I greeted her and she greeted back without even looking at me. I then chit chated until eventualy she showed her face and we started having a nice flowy conversation.  She said she sat down because she felt like someone or something was walking behind her and when she stops to look there's no one but there are weird movements like someone is hiding.

I laughed it off but deep down i was feeling what she was feeling. It was like someone was watching us but i didn't want to alarm her further so i just put on my brave face and we started walking.

While walking we heard a laughter or rather a giggle in the bushes. We stopped to look and there was nothing. We had whispers then we started walking faster and at this point we wanted to run and scream. The faster we walked the louder we heard the voices.

We then stopped to look around and we saw a very weird hairy creature I'll never forget. It was as green as the grass and it was at that moment that we knew we had to run. Before running we looked back again to see if it was still there and this time we saw a group of very short people that looks like they hadn't bathed in years.

We ran and started screaming and they ran after us even throwing stones at us. Luckily we were not far from the finish line and the workers heard us scream and ran towards us. When we looked back to show them the little people they were nowhere to be seen.

It was as if we are crazy or something but they belived us and calmed us down and didn't make is feel like we are crazy. They made us tea and then walked us towards our cars. We drove out following each other.  It was misty and the girl was driving behind me and next thing the car was nowhere to be seen.

And mind you there was no other route there until the tar road. The car just dissapeared. That was the last day i ever went anywhere near hiking.

NB: THE VIDEO HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS POST I JUST FELT LIKE BEING DRAMATIC AND UNNECESSARY TONIGHT. HAPPY WEEKEND MY LOVES.
