I am very livid to say the very least. My aunt was exposed on Dlozi lam a few months ago by Thembi. My aunt is late so i feel as though this was very unfair to her and her memories because she could not defend or speak for herself.
My aunt was married to the man who was also a part of the show. He was there listening to my aunt's name been dragged and he did not even defend her. I am hurt vert very hurt.
Since the show life has been very difficult for us at our village. A lot of people now believe that since my aunt was labeled a witch it sure means our entire family are witches. Thus hurts a lot, i am married and now my in-laws and husband treat me differently.
You can just tell that since the show things have changed. They no longer treat me the same they fear me or rather i disgusts them. I even moved homebecause it was really uncomfortable and uncomfortable.
I used to cook for the entire family but now no one eats my food when i cook, this includes my husband aswell. He does not eat my food at all and he now hardly sleeps at home. I tried speaking to the elders from his side and i was told that he fears for his life.
I packed my bags and went to my family because I was always alone and crying at the in-laws since the show. That's not it, my whole family is now suffering. My niece is treated badly at school by her teachers and her friends.
Before schools closed she's been dreading going to school and she now refuses to go back next year and she's only in grade 9 going to grade 10. She says she no longer has friends since the show. Everyone refuses to sit next to her in class and during break she eats alone. No one wants to eat with her.
Please tell me how is that life? The episode has totally destroyed us and the truth is everything we heard there was new. According to the host of the show my aunt was admitting to being a witch and also admiring to have done evil things.
Amongst the evil things includes her being responsible for K!ling her parents inlaw. Yet when she got married to the man who stood there and allowed her name be tarnished his parents had long passed away by the time my aunt married in that family.
The show has put our lives in danger and bit just that but it has destroyed our lively hood and dignity. How is it okay to destroy a deceased person's reputation like that? Why say such things about someone who'll never defend herself?
My aunt died a sad death and we have never be given any signal from her at all that shows that she could be a witch. Where would she have learned the witchcraft when we at home know nothing about it?
Speaking ill against the dead used to be an abomination but now it's a cloud chasing tactics. We are suffering as a family now and it's sad because we are innocent yet being crucified by things we coudlnt even defend ourself on.
Our reputation and dignity destroyed!
