OVERCOMING DARKNESS AND JEALOUSY

Overcoming Darkness and Jealousy

Growing up, life was tough. My parents struggled to make ends meet, and poverty seemed to suffocate us. But I was determined to break the cycle. I studied tirelessly, fueled by my desire for a better life.

Years of hard work paid off. I landed a lucrative job and built my parents a beautiful home. I bought myself a sleek car, symbolizing my triumph over adversity.

However, our newfound happiness was short-lived. Strange occurrences began to plague us. Footsteps echoed through the house at night, and in the morning, we'd find evidence of an unseen presence: empty plates and glasses on the table. My car, once a symbol of pride, was constantly targeted with mysterious powders that resembled muti.

Desperate for answers, we sought help from a respected Sangoma. After performing rituals and consultations, she revealed a shocking truth: my father's sister was behind the sinister events.

She had sent tokoloshi (malevolent spirits) to stagnate our lives. The curse, cast upon my parents, was meant to ensure they suffered forever. But my success had disrupted her plan, infuriating her.

The Sangoma explained that her anger stemmed from her own children's failures. Her sons were trapped in addiction, accomplishing nothing in life. The contrast between my achievements and her own children's struggles consumed her with bitterness.

I remembered how she had grown increasingly hostile towards us. She'd ignore us in public, her annoyance palpable. We had never confronted her, but the tension was undeniable.

With the Sangoma's guidance, we performed cleansing rituals and protection ceremonies. We burned sage, lit candles, and invoked our ancestors' guidance. Slowly, the strange occurrences ceased, and peace returned to our home.

I realized that my success was not just about personal achievement but also about breaking generational curses. I vowed to continue rising above the darkness, inspiring my family to do the same.

As we looked to the future, my parents and I couldn't help but wonder: Would my aunt ever find peace, or would her jealousy forever trap her in darkness?

She wants nothing to do with me and she hates me loudly and openly. I once bought her a blanket, dress and a pair of shores and she burnt them right Infront of my eyes saying I want to bewitch her. She chased me out of the house with a broomstick and I never went back nor seen her since that day.
