Remote SEO Sales Closer – US Law Firms (Commission Only)

Close warm SEO audit calls for a US-focused content marketing agency. $199 per close + 5% (~$49.85/month) ongoing retainer per active client, uncapped. You must already speak SEO at a practical level – SEMrush, keyword research, search intent, on-page basics, and internal linking.

ContentChunky is a content marketing agency producing SEO-driven blog content for US-based law firms. The service helps solo and small-firm attorneys rank for the questions that actually drive cases in their city – without locking them into long retainers.

The outbound funnel pre-qualifies prospects and books them for a 30-minute SEO audit call. Before they ever meet the closer, they have already seen:

  • custom article preview written for their firm and practice area.
  • Concrete SEO findings showing what they do not rank for yet in their city.

The job on the call is simple: use their own data and the article preview as proof, then lead them into a clear 3-6 month content plan at $997/month that fills those gaps.

This is a 100% commission-only role with uncapped earning potential for closers who can talk SEO credibly, keep calls focused, and sell a specific, actionable plan rather than vague marketing promises.

Duties & Responsibilities

A. Gap-to-Plan Audit Calls (~70% of time)

Pre-call (5-10 minutes)

  • Read the brief: article link and topic, the plain-language client question it answers, 1-3 key SEO gaps (missing or weak queries), and firm/practice basics.
  • Note which 3-6 month content plan is recommended for this prospect.

On-call (20-30 minutes)

  • Open with a clear frame: this is a short working call to look at the gaps already emailed to them and decide whether to fill them now or later.
  • Share screen and walk through the key SEO findings in plain English.
  • Pull up the article preview and position it as an example of what it looks like when one of those gaps is filled properly.
  • Present the recommended 3-6 month content plan – number of articles per month, targeting focus, and expected outcomes in their city.
  • Handle questions and objections, then close the $997/month content slot when it makes sense.

Post-call

  • Log outcome and key objections.
  • Trigger the correct follow-up: Stripe payment link, short “think it over” summary, or nurture.

The closer is not expected to invent the offer from scratch. The job is to use their data + the structured 3-6 month plan as the bridge between “here is the gap” and “here is how it gets filled.”

B. Retention / Churn-Save Touchpoints (~30% of time combined with prep and follow-up)

The remaining time is mainly made up of prep, follow-up, and short retention conversations for clients already closed.

Scheduled check-ins

  • Brief 10-15 minute calls, typically around Day 75 and then periodically after that.
  • Show how content is performing against the client’s original gaps.
  • Surface any friction early.
  • Confirm the next 3-6 month focus where appropriate.

At-risk / churn-save touches

  • When a client signals that they may cancel, same-day callback is expected where possible.
  • Understand what is driving the risk.
  • See whether a pause, reset, or revised next-step plan makes sense.
  • Help keep good-fit clients active when appropriate.

You do NOT handle:

  • Client support tickets.
  • Regular support email.
  • Content calendar management.
  • Monthly reporting production.
  • Technical implementation.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required

  • 2+ years of B2B sales / closing experience, ideally agency, SaaS, or marketing services.
  • Working SEO knowledge: keyword research, search intent, on-page SEO, internal linking, and how rankings translate into leads.
  • Comfortable discussing SEO findings with non-technical buyers such as lawyers and firm owners.
  • Able to keep calls calm, structured, and commercially focused.
  • Fluent professional English with clear phone/video communication.
  • Available during US business hours (9am-6pm ET).
  • Reliable internet, quiet workspace, and working webcam.
  • Comfortable in a 100% commission environment.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience selling SEO, content marketing, PPC, or legal/professional services.
  • Familiarity with SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar SEO tools.
  • Familiarity with Calendly, Stripe, and simple CRM follow-up workflows.
  • Track record selling subscription products or retainers.

Package & Remuneration

Compensation

There are three ways to earn in this role:

  • Close commission: 20% of first month = $199 per new client.
  • Monthly retainer: 5% = $49.85/month per retained client, paid every month they stay active.
  • Save bonus: if a cancelling client is saved, that month’s retainer for that client can be increased (final details set in contract).

Example 12-month earnings per client: $797.20 (close commission + 12 months of retainer).

Trial Period

  • First 5 calls: 20% per close.
  • No retainer during trial.

Retainer Continuity if the Closer Leaves

  • Resignation with 7 days’ notice: 1 additional month of retainer on active clients.
  • Termination without cause: 3 additional months of retainer on active clients.
  • Termination for cause: retainer stops on departure date.

Realistic Earnings Progression

  • Month 1-2 (ramp, first 4-6 closes): $400-$1,200/month.
  • Month 3-6 (book builds, retainers stack): $1,200-$2,400/month.
  • Month 6+ (full pipeline + retention income): $2,400-$4,500/month for committed full-time closers.

Weekly payouts via Wise or PayPal in local currency (USD reference). Payment every Friday. No earnings cap.
