This 6-month fixed-term contract offers the opportunity to work within a high-performance audit team while completing your NQF 4 Accounting Technician qualification with AT-SA.
About the Role
As an Audit Intern, you will support the audit team with both on-site and office-based administrative and audit-related tasks. You will gain exposure to real client environments, event coordination, and essential audit processes – perfect for candidates looking to kickstart a career in accounting or auditing.
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Administrative Support
- Assist auditors during on-site VAT audits
- Scan documents, locate invoices, and manage archived files
- Prepare training manuals (printing, binding, and distributing)
- Provide ongoing progress updates to the Audit Manager
Event Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute internal events
- Manage event logistics, venue set-up, and marketing materials
- Represent the brand professionally and create brand awareness
Travel
- Travel to client sites may be required
- May involve being out of the office for several days depending on audit schedules
- Support basic audit administration and assist with document printing
Minimum Requirements
- Accounting Diploma or Degree (non-negotiable)
- Work experience in accounting or a solid accounting background
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Adaptable, professional, and willing to learn
Advantageous
- Completed articles
- Marketing course or marketing experience
- 1+ year relevant experience
